Case study · flower studio · Valencia, Spain

Before: 10 bouquet videos. After: a 3D cartoon where the florist looks like the owner.

Yuliia runs Jardín Creativo, a flower studio in Valencia. From her videos we had already made two Reels, a shop window and the «test for him» trend, and for the third we proposed something she did not have yet: a short 3D cartoon. She filmed nothing new and said «yes» twice: to the script and to the characters.

Before and after

On the left, everything that came from Yuliia: 10 videos from the first Reel and two calls with a «yes». On the right, the cartoon that came out of it (in Spanish, for her customers in Valencia).

Yuliia wrote nothing: the idea was ours. From her, 10 videos and two «yes» by phone

  • Yuliia never asked for a cartoon: the idea was ours
  • 10 bouquet videos we already had
  • No script, no characters, no text
  • Two phone calls: «yes» to the script and «yes» to the characters
After
  • A 31-second 3D cartoon, 10 scenes, not a single spoken word
  • A story people forward: «he forgot the anniversary»
  • A florist with Yuliia's glasses, hair and dress
  • The name Jardín Creativo on the shop sign at the end
  • Spanish captions and the line «¿Se te olvidó? Te salvamos el día»

How we made the cartoon

Three steps, and before each next one Yuliia says «yes». She sees what she will get before we start building.

Step 1

A script to approve

First we checked what is taking off in 3D animation right now. Short wordless stories about a couple work best: a quarrel, a gesture, making up. The cartoon «Still mad… still yours» got 3.1M views, and a story about a guy who made up for a mistake with a gift got 41 times its creator's usual.

We took this format and made the gesture a bouquet, with a florist from Jardín Creativo saving the day. The script had 10 scenes of 3 seconds and questions for Yuliia: the occasion, the characters, and whether the florist should look like her.

Yuliia called back within minutes: «Go ahead, the script is good, I approve»

Script «He forgot», 10 scenes
  1. She is upset, he is on his phone and has no idea why
  2. A heart on the calendar: he remembers at 7:55 pm
  3. Running through the streets of old Valencia
  4. He bursts into the flower studio
  5. The florist is already holding a bouquet: «Ya lo tengo»
  6. Her hands tie the ribbon
  7. At the door, bouquet behind his back
  8. The bouquet flip, she melts
  9. A hug: «Perdonado»
  10. The studio in the evening and @jardin_creativo_vlc
Step 2

Characters to approve

Before building the scenes we showed the characters: him, her and the florist. The florist was drawn from Yuliia's own videos: round glasses, wavy red hair, an olive button-up pinafore. The studio recognises itself, and regular customers recognise the owner.

Characters get approved separately because fixing one picture is quick and fixing 10 finished scenes is not. After the «yes», the look stays the same to the end of the cartoon.

Step 3

Building the cartoon

10 scenes from the script, each with the same approved characters, so faces don't change from scene to scene. Spanish captions and original royalty-free music. At the end the shop sign reads Jardín Creativo, and the lettering moves with the camera like a real sign.

More than two hours passed from script to finished cartoon, including the wait for Yuliia's answers. With the Reel she got a Spanish post caption and a tip on which trending sound to add on Instagram.

Why this Reel works

Raw footage sells nothing on its own. What sells is a Reel that gives a reason to keep watching from the first second, a story people want to watch to the end, and a clear next step for the viewer. We build every Reel, post and carousel from these three parts, so the content works for requests, not for show.

The cartoon has no voice, so the plot, the shots and eight short captions do all the work.

01 · Hook

A mess every couple recognises

CuriosityProvocationFOMOShock numberViewer's painParadoxQuestion to the viewerPromise of benefit
Olvidó nuestro aniversario… y se acordó a las 19:55 · «He forgot our anniversary… and remembered at 7:55 pm»

A forgotten anniversary is every man's fear and every woman's favourite reproach. Viewers recognise the situation in the first second and want to see how he gets out of it.

«19:55» makes the joke precise: five minutes left in the day. An exact time is more convincing than «late in the evening», and it needs no Spanish.

02 · Storytelling

An ad where the hero is not the studio but a man in trouble

  1. Problem. she is upset, he doesn't know why
  2. Realisation. a heart on the calendar, «y se acordó a las 19:55»
  3. Panic. running through the old town: «Sin regalo. Sin plan. Sin tiempo.»
  4. Rescue. the florist already has the bouquet: «Tranquilo. Ya lo tengo.»
  5. Gesture. he turns the bouquet to her, she melts
  6. Resolution. «¡Perdonado!»
  7. Action. the Jardín Creativo studio and «¿Se te olvidó? Te salvamos el día»

The hero is a man in trouble, so the Reel doesn't look like an ad. The studio appears exactly when the viewer wants him rescued, and rescues him calmly, as if it knew all along.

Turning the bouquet towards her is florists' top move worldwide right now, so we built it right into the plot. With no voice, the story works in any country, and the short captions keep the pace.

03 · Call to action

A call to action that sounds like a promise

«¿Se te olvidó? Te salvamos el día» · «Forgot? We'll save your day»

The ending speaks to the same man who just recognised himself in the hero: you forgot, no problem, the studio will save you. Not «buy bouquets» but a ready answer for a situation that will certainly happen to him.

The post caption asks people to forward it: «¿Conoces a alguien que necesita ver esto? Envíaselo», know someone who needs to see this? Women forward videos like this to their partners, and a flower ad reaches the person who buys the flowers. Orders by DM.

What we needed from the florist

10 videos we already had and two «yes» by phone.

When there's no new footage, or you want something other than one more product video, we propose the format ourselves. First the script, then the characters, and only after your «yes» do we build.
